Rion Schmid is versed in many forms of art, water color, wood carving, graphic art. Rion will be doing live art during the First Friday event.

Art Center Ukiah

will be hosting a Trash to Fashion exhibit for the month of April. The opening reception will occur during the Art Walk from 5-7pm.

Trash to Fashion art exhibit featuring fashions and accessories constructed with previously used materials rescued from recycling, trash or thrift stores. Trash to Fashion Exhibit features clothing and hats created by Joni Trash, Alexa Wood and Susan Gibbons from reclaimed materials. Jacquie Lolich, Kera Gibson and other community members works will be featured.

is featuring local global photography by Molly Huddleston and an exquisitely talented painter Evonne Bishop will be doing live art.

will feature Laura Fogg and Betty Lacey showing creations from previously used materials in the Corner Gallery front windows.

Craftsman Distillers

says: After 18 months of struggle and toil, we have the final permits for a Germain-Robin tasting room and an adjacent Caddell & Williams retail outlet featuring all our Craft Distillers’ spirits and liqueurs, including the wonderful mezcals we bring in from Oaxaca and Crispin Cain’s fabulous whiskies, gins, and vodkas.

The store incorporates The Museum of Encountered Objects, worth many minutes of your attention.

In about 6 weeks, the store will have a second license allowing us to pour whiskies, etc. Until then, you can taste our brandies, including the 30-year-old, for the modest fee of $15

For our first ever First Friday event, tasting fee is reduced to $10, and admission to the Museum is free.

Grace Hudson Museum

“Wild Fabrications.” Wild Fabrications celebrates a world of animals, both real and fantastical. The exhibit includes quilts in which worldwide members of Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) let their imaginations run wild to create interesting and unusual interpretations of animals using unexpected materials and adornment, as well as unconventional techniques.

The featured artist will be Kelly Foutz she was drawn to the Hawaiian Islands to cultivate her passion. Studying studio art at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu, she has dedicated over ten years to the love affair found where land meets ocean. Mauka to Makai is about the birthplace of life: The complimentary dynamic of yin and yang and the balance of opposing forces. Like jewels the sea sparkles; oscillations of blues, greens, grays. “I love to capture the endless combinations. The sea itself is a living painting.” There will be appetizers and beverages and a great networking opportunity.
